Competing Models – UCAR

1. 1980 or newer American made only (Ford, GM, Mopar). Maximum wheel- base of 105".
2. Complete stock body, frame and suspension. No bracing anywhere except inside the driver's compartment.
3. Dashboard, steering and pedals must remain stock for that make and model. All insulation under hood must be removed.
4. Stock carburetor / fuel injection system for that make and model. No turbo or supercharged systems allowed.
5. No quad 4´s or 4-valve heads, No Dual Overhead Cams engines allowed.
6. Engines are limited to 4 cylinders ONLY. No more than 2 valves per cylinder.
7. Front wheel drive only.
8. Battery must remain under the hood.
9. Stock unaltered rear end for the make and model. Maximum amount of camber allowed on front or rear will be 5 degrees.
10. Track tire rule - All tires must be purchased at the Speedway.
11. Unaltered stock struts and shocks only.
12. No added weight of any kind.

Mandatory Modifications and Rules

1. 4-point roll cage. Must be attached to (4), 1/4 by 2 1/2 steel plates welded to frame rails. Driver's door must be reinforced with 3 door bars (1 3/4" by .090 wall seamless steel tubing). Only remove enough metal from the driver's door to insert roll bars. No sharp edges.
2. Approved helmets, racing seat belts not more than Three (3) years old and gloves required. Fireproof driver's suits are mandatory.
3. All exterior glass (taillights, headlights, side mirrors, door glass, side windows, rear window, etc.) must be removed. Windshield must remain in place. If vehicle came with third brake light, leave intact and operable.
4. Gas Tanks: If stock gas tank is ahead of rear axle it may remain in place. If stock gas tank is behind rear axle it must be replaced with a fuel cell or boat tank (max. 8 gal.). Fuel cell or boat tank must be covered with 20-gauge sheet metal and may have hinges on top for accessibility. Secured with 4 straps, and located as far forward and centered between frame rails as possible in the trunk.
5. Window net on driver's side mandatory.
6. Two hood pins in the front part of the hood and the rear trunk lid.
7. Doors MUST be welded or bolted shut.
8. Car horn must remain intact and in working condition. Car number must be at least 24" tall on doors and roof.
9. All cars must have a fully charged and operable fire extinguisher within reach of driver. Must be securely mounted to floorboard of vehicle.
10. Air bags must be disconnected.
11. Car number (at least 6 " tall) must be displayed on upper corner of passenger side windshield.
12. No duplicate numbers. Number on roof must read from driver's side. Call track to register your number.

Modifications Allowed

1. Removal of air conditioner condenser and A/C pump.
2. Removal of inertia switch (fuel shut off-Ford).
3. Removal of rear seat (Must cover rear firewall with aluminum or steel).
4. Electric cooling fan may be wired to run constantly.
5. Removal of car radios & speakers is allowed.

2. Stock suspension in stock position
3. 4 wheel working stock brakes
4. Stock steering column must start with key
5. Hood and trunk lids must have hinges.
6. Stock Transmission
7. Fuel additives or altering of fuel are not allowed.
8. No locked differential
9. Stock front seat (racing seat optional)
10. Dashboard must be in place and remain stock.
11. No body modifications-stock ride-height
12. No removing of sheet metal such as hoods, trunks, doors, or interior sheet metal
13. Fire extinguisher
14. All safety equipment

Notes

1. There will be a one time race entry fee of $100.
2. This is a novice class for beginners only. No prior automobile racing experience allowed.
3. UCARs put the STOCK back into Stock Car Racing. If you don't see it in the rulebook ... DON'T DO IT!
4. All drivers must be at least 16 years of age.
